Jamie's interest in art started at an early age and filled practically every spare moment with drawing. His interest continued throughout his youth where he would devote a lot of his time to his hobby, though without any real goals or aims. With undertaking more formal studies during his years at Leeds College of Art & Design, he was given more of a chance to give direction and form to his work. As well as having the opportunity to experiment with new mediums and techniques, he also had the chance to build in some basic disciplines such as life drawing.
His interest in life drawing and his desire to hone his skills continued, taking part in extra evening classes during his 2nd year of his course and, more recently, his work in the Saturday People's classes have facilitated his continued interest and endeavour in life drawing. He is still seeking to improve his skills and gains satisfaction with challenging himself with the very demanding rigours that life drawing seems to bring.
He is also responsible for the current Saturday People website, adding the images, information and supports its maintainence throughout.
